Getting to our Lugano practice
The practice is on the 5th floor of Via Luigi Lavizzari 2A, in the centre of Lugano, a few steps from Via Pretorio, Corso Pestalozzi and the Maghetti quarter. Look for the number 2A on the copper-clad entrance; the lift takes you straight up to the practice.
By car: the city centre is a restricted-traffic area. The most convenient parking is in the public Piazza Castello and Campo Marzio car parks, a few minutes' walk from the practice, as well as metered on-street parking (Parkingpay) in the surrounding streets.
By train and bus: from Lugano railway station, take the funicular down to Piazza Cioccaro and walk for five minutes, or catch a TPL bus to the city-centre stops. Local and regional bus routes stop a few minutes from the practice.
The areas we serve
We welcome patients from across Lugano — the city centre, Molino Nuovo, Besso, Loreto, Cassarate, Viganello, Pregassona and Castagnola — and from Paradiso. Because we open at 07:30, many patients book their appointment before heading into the office.
The story of the practice
Our Lugano practice brings together two long-established practices in the city: that of Dr Giorgio Cattaneo at Via Lavizzari 2A and that of Dr Lauro Boschetti at Corso Elvezia 2, which joined SD in 2023 and are now united under one roof at Via Lavizzari. Long-standing patients continue to receive the same care and continuity as before.
